The name Borgo Conventi refers to an ancient legend, according to which Count Strassoldo, nicknamed “il Rizzardo”, gave the Dominican friars a plot of land on which the first of a series of monasteries was built in the Farra d’Isonzo area. Today, in that very place, stands Tenuta Borgo Conventi, its mission the production of exquisite wines. It all starts with the vine: 30 hectares spread over two of the region’s most productive areas, Isonzo and Collio.
Wines produced in limited quantities using only grapes from the best harvests, meticulously selected in the vineyard to ensure impeccable quality raw materials. The vineyard is the predominant feature in these wines, reflected in their unique flavours and aromas.
Wines with the unmistakable tangy minerality of the splendid land that nurtures them: Collio. An ideal microclimate, careful selection of grapes and the use of native varieties result in sophisticated products created to express the enormous potential of this terroir.
Wonderful wines, witnesses and custodians of the story of the Tenuta’s land, which extends onto the Gorizia plain and the right bank of an emerald-coloured river, the Isonzo. This is the birthplace of our fresh, young single-varietal wines.

On Saturday and Sunday, May 30 and 31, we open the doors of our wineries to offer you a unique experience with tastings, guided tours, and the authentic atmosphere of Friuli Venezia Giulia.
The tour includes a visit to the cellar, the barrel room and a guided tasting of 3 typical wines of the area.
